If you’ve not seen James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, then you’ve probably heard about it. The star and writer of hit television series Gavin and Stacey and presenter of comedy sports show A League Of Their Own takes musicians and pop stars on a ride around Hollywood while singing their hit songs. Now that principle is being introduced to the green energy world with Fortum’s Singalong Shuttle.
The Singalong Shuttle is a 100% emission-free electric taxi that only accepts singing as a form of payment. Here’s your chance to unleash your inner Madonna or Ed Sheeran whie supporting a greener future.
The sustainable rides will be introduced in Finland in early July at the Ruisrock Festival providing passengers with the world’s first sing-for-your-ride taxi.
“With Singalong Shuttle we want to show people in a joyful way how comfortable and easy it is to drive an electric car,” says Fortum’s Brand Manager Jussi Mälkiä. “The silent electric cars make it possible to enjoy singing without background noise and emissions,” he continues.
Singalong Shuttle is provided by clean-energy company Fortum, which wants to engage its customers and the wider society to join its determination to make positive change for a cleaner world. The company offers a wide range of clean energy solutions and encourages its customers to live a more sustainable life. Fortum is also actively developing sophisticated EV charging solutions. Fortum Charge & Drive EV charging network is the largest in the Nordics with over 2,000 chargers across the area.
